		<description>Brooklyn Is...

celebrates the dynamic history of New York City’s most populous borough. The exhibition highlights a selection of photographs, maps, and ephemera from the Brooklyn Public Library’s vast collection to represent the stories and character of each neighborhood. Installed to mark the reopening of the Center for Brooklyn History, the presentation extended beyond the gallery and wrapped images along the building’s railing and filled its windowpanes, bringing the collections to the street.

I shaped a holistic portrait of the borough by selecting materials from both the Brooklyn Public Library and the former Brooklyn Historical Society (now the Center for Brooklyn History). Working collaboratively, the team divided Brooklyn into six regions, selecting key photographs and artifacts that reflected each area’s identity. Many of these images echoed themes found in the oral histories being recorded concurrently by the Center.

		<description>Constantinos Doxiadis’ Informational Modernism: The Machine at the Heart of Man was developed by Farzin Lotfi-Jam and Mark Wasiuta. The project investigates the relationship between people, cities, and information systems.&#38;nbsp;
The exhibition is in two episodes. The first examines the work of Greek architect Constantinos Doxiadis, focusing on his pioneering use of computers to document and survey the changing metropolitan landscape and its residents The second extends Doxiadis’ methodologies, applying his meticulous surveying approaches to contemporary Athens. This episode traces these early computational practices to the present, with new research into the physical form, technical administration, and territorial spread of city and state border management systems.

For the exhibition, I co-directed and produced a multi-channel video installation incorporating footage from 24 interviews with recently-arrived refugees conducted in seven languages.
